Coming Full Circle
Christopher Cusano, J.D., Chief Executive Officer | chris@ctbta.org
Chris Cusano is the CEO of the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance. After serving years as a volunteer and Board President, he joined the staff in 2018. Like most of CTBTA’s leaders, Chris’ commitment to the organization is both personal and professional. In 2008, Chris was diagnosed with a central neurocytoma, a benign brain tumor. After five brain surgeries and one stereotactic radiosurgery, he made a full recovery.
At the time of his appointment in 2018, Chris said, “As I celebrate 10 years of survivorship, my journey has come full-circle. I look forward to working with the Board to fulfill our mission of providing hope and support to brain tumor patients and caregivers, while advancing brain tumor awareness, quality of care and research. We can each attest that a brain tumor diagnosis is life changing, but the CTBTA will be here to guide you through this journey."
Prior to joining CTBTA, Chris worked for Hartford law firm Updike, Kelly & Spellacy and as a Partnership Manager for the United Way. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut and a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law.
Today, Chris lives fully committed to helping others and advocating for the Connecticut brain tumor community.
