A Night in Paris
A Night in Paris celebrated the extraordinary life and spirit ofTracey Gamer-Fanning , co-founder of CTBTA. A lifelong French enthusiast and foodie, the event also launched the Tracey Gamer-Fanning Memorial Scholarship(link to in Resources), which supports students pursuing a career in the food industry.
CTBTA started in 2006 with a Golf Tournament, a successful event that was resurrected throughout the next decade. Over the years, the Golf Tournament was instrumental in helping us raise essential funds and spread awareness of our mission. The final Golf Tournament in 2014 raised more than $28,000, which supported our Patient Assistance Funds and Neuro-Team Support Program, helping patients and caregivers across the state.
Laughter on the Brain
Laughter on the Brain was an annual comedy night hosted by the Lemkuil family. Based on the concept that “laughter is the best medicine,” the event helped us sustain our Brain Tumor Research Program and Patient Assistance Funds.
Gala of Hope — 10-year Anniversary Celebration
In May 2017, we celebrated CTBTA’s 10th year at the Society Room in Hartford. The “Black, White, and Gray Ball” was a joyful gathering, commemorating a decade of hope and change.
Night of Hope
Night of Hope was a farm-to-table culinary experience that featured outdoor dining, live music, and family fun while raising funds to support our Patient Assistance Funds, Brain Tumor Research Program, and Neuro-Team Support Program.
